It's time we put the "act" in "action".

Cross-processed Colorsplash shots. This was the last film I got through the camera before it broke, so half the film wiped-out. They weren't done particularly well either, so expect a few more when I've had chance to get the reprints.

Not if You Were the Last Junkie in Tony's Basement

Small post. Beth's been over for a few days to escape Grantham, so we've been keeping busy. Terrible quality BlackBerry photos unfortunately. I've been shooting on film a lot recently and don't have a scanner at the moment, so you'll just have to sit tight for those.
Shooting Bethany's stop-motion credits in The Malt Cross.
The final video isn't finished yet, but from the frames, it looks amazing.
Then last night was Abe Vigoda at The Social, which was absolutely fantastic. Juan was so happy, he climbed on things.
And Michael's eyes went red.

The Tallest Man, The Broadest Shoulders

On Tuesday Tom's band, Ocean Bottom Nightmare, played in a Battle of the Bands at Nottingham University. Me and Matthew went to shout encouraging things. Sadly, the lighting and venue were pretty shocking, so I only got a few good ones.
There's Tom.
and Jonny.

and there's James on drums.

Go here and check these guys out. They're really rather good.

L'Homme aux Bras Ballants

Only a small post. Last week I headed down to the Old Angel to shoot some frames at the OBN show, but sadly, Jonny was super ill and they had to pull out. So here's some photos of All or Nothing and Fake Problems!
Natalie looking slightly startled, but lovely as ever.
All or Nothing.

Fake Problems.

Then I discovered Ashley and Jack (amongst others) downstairs and we went for a beer. Not a bad night really.

You whistle, I'll shoot

Last monday, I was twenty years old. Yuck. Worth mentioning that photo credit for all of these goes to Joseph and Leo. I wasn't planning on being in any state to operate a camera and am very glad I made that decision.
After drinks in Broadway and Fashion, we found ourselves in Tantra. Abbey's going to hate this photo.

Blood comes back.
Cheesy smiles were most definitely the order of the evening.

I have no idea what that was about.

Next stop, Rock City. I was suitably hammered by this point.
So were Matt and Jo.

Joseph doing a face I don't think he's ever done before.
My eyes were clearly more drunk.

I think Leo's dance here defines how we were all feeling.
I don't know why he was there and not with us in the background.
All or Nothing/Fake Problems shots up later or tomorrow!

Sleep, Eat Food, Have Visions

Friday night was the Bopp, which is pretty big business in this town. Chris asked me to get some photos of the band, so me and Leo dressed accordingly and headed on down.
Sorry it's another massive post.
Credit to the Lanzoni for this one.
I hadn't ironed my collar properly.
Elaine, another escapee of the Muji machine.
Leo had a nice hat.
Sarah doesn't like having her photo taken when she's sober.
I'm still not really used to Rob not being in a metal band.
The man Chris Dawson himself.

Everybody went ape for Chris and his blacksaphone.

I got a photo of Jim! Woo!
Even one of him doing his best Popeye face.

I wasn't going to post this, but I love the way my flash triggered the other photographer's right as it was pointing at Leo.

I was asked to take this by his girlfriend. I don't know who either of you are, but if you find this, I hope you like it.

Leo had been dance practicing I think.

Everyone was definitely in the party mood.

Gotta love the wireless.
All in all, a good night. Roll on next month, when hopefully I won't have work the next morning and can take more crowd shots/get more drunk.
Currently sorting through birthday photos, but in two minds about whether I want to post them. There's some shockers to say the very least.
